My Story - KKH Candles
I’ve always dreamed of having my own business and along the way, I've dabbled in several different ventures, but never took them to that next level while working full time. It wasn’t until I realized what I wanted to create, and, most importantly why, that I launched "this" business. I’ve always had a love for candles and never understood the reason why. But then it "hit" me! I was a "buy them but never burn them" type of girl. To me they were more decor than to actually be used. But there was this one really hard night, and I actually struck that match and lit a candle.
For over 22 years, I worked as an ER/trauma nurse. Working in the ER means walking out with more than just exhaustion—you carry the echoes of sirens, the faces of families, and the weight of moments you couldn’t fix. As a single mom at the time, when that heaviness would linger after I got home (no matter what shift), when the time was right, I would take a deep breath, grab a cocktail, light a candle, cry at times, decompress and reflect. That simple ritual would bring me what peace I could find. It didn't happen all the time, but I didn't realize when I finally lit that first one, it would become my ritual.
To our valued customers--thank you for your continued support and for choosing to bring our products into your homes. Every order means the world to me, and I'm truly grateful to be part of the moments that bring you comfort, warmth, and joy. It's my hope that each item you receive adds a little light to your day, just as your support brightens mine.
My candles are hand-poured using a nontoxic soy-coconut blend wax that burns cleanly and evenly, offering a safer and more sustainable alternative to traditional paraffin. I source only high-quality, eco-conscious materials—from my lead-free cotton wicks to my premium fragrance oils that are free from phthalates and harsh chemicals. Each element is carefully chosen to create a candle that not only fills your space with a beautiful, lasting scent but also reflects my commitment to quality, safety, and craftsmanship.
